The Sitka has a built-in data network and each apartment has a connection to it.

This means you can plug in your computer and have Internet access without buying phone or cable service. (Each apartment has one Ethernet connection. To access the network from multiple locations within your apartment, you will need to install a wireless router.)

Download speeds may vary depending on how many people are using the network at the same time. Upload speeds are capped for all apartments in order to assure more consistent and dependable download speeds for all tenants.  Residents who need higher speed connections - especially for uploads - can order their own service from phone or cable companies.

Like any data network, the system may have occasional problems. We contract for maintenance of the network so that problems can be addressed quickly if and when they do occur.

There is no cost to use this system. You can save significantly on your telecommunications costs, making it even more affordable to live at the Sitka Apartments.
