The Sitka offers affordable apartments in Portland's Pearl District. Within blocks of the building you'll find two city parks, the Portland Streetcar, grocery stores, coffee shops, fitness clubs, restaurants, and services for your everyday needs.
A few important things to know:
- Most apartments at the Sitka are subject to income guidelines.
- In general, households made of entirely of full-time students are not eligible to live at the Sitka.

Please also be aware:
- There is still construction work underway as the neighborhood grows. As of 2012, there are undeveloped blocks on 2 sides of the Sitka. These will eventually be developed, which means you'll hear the sound of machinery and trucks during the day.
- Trains do run nearby, however the Pearl District has been designated as a train "quiet zone". Therefore train horns are no longer sounded at intersections, except in emergencies.
